April Blog Challenge Day 4

Write about someone who inspires you.

Not going to name any names, but people who know me might think it's several people, as I tend to know a lot of people who inspire me. This is going to be a bit of a cheat - it's going to be the conglomeration of several people instead of just picking one of them to write about. Not to the letter of the prompt, to to the spirit of it. We will call the person, "Tim."

Time worked very hard for a long time in order to help others in need. He never left a loved one or friend go without the help they needed unless he literally could not help for some reason. Time also shared his home with relatives would could not afford to live on their own, even to the point the place became crowded. Time gave his time to food pantries and his church to help with things he was able to do for the community. Unfortunately, Tim could not help everyone that asked for his help, because things have gotten far out of hand in our economy and too many people are in need. So Time had to keep it to those who needed it the most. To this day Time works hard and takes very little time for himself in order to help. He is someone to look up to for sure. His actions, and words have changed how I act and how I see the world for the better and improved my life dramatically. Tim is the kind of person society should look up too, not billionaires who only take and have done nothing to actually earn their wealth. Be like Time.

P.S. This is a mix of 2 people far away from me and 2 in my community.

List five places you want to visit. 1 Yellowknife , Northwest Territories. It's on the bank of great slave lake. I've fished in that giant lake once, but never been to Yellowknife. You had to fly in at the time. It's very far north. The Dene First Nations are a big part of the city and the industry and tourism in the aria. The stunning beauty of this part of the world is something I only got 3 days to experience in a fishing camp. My entire life I've wanted to travel there and see the city. 2 Cardiff , Wales. It's their capital city and a lot of historic buildings can be seen. It's also where the mythical Torchwood was located and I'd like to visit the location they used as well. Two Memories Triggered By Old Photos

Aug 5, 2008 me at 500 lbs. yesterday I was about 349 lbs. (Apr 02, 2025). It's literally amazing that my belly is not hanging down to my knees - it's not even covering my man bits fully. Most people who lose this kind of weight have a bin sagging loaf down to their knees. This photo was just before we found my friend dead in his apartment. I was on the 1st floor and he was on the 3rd. We did not see him for 5 days and went looking because there was a hell of a smell as soon as you opened the fire door. He had been dead for days. They said it was his heart. He was 42 at the time and I was 40. I had know him most of my life and we where close. When I found this photo, I remembered him. I also miss that hat kind of a lot. It was stolen. Jul 3, 2008 this is the Moose Jaw Co-op cafeteria. It's long gone now - instead they rend the space out to a gym. The Story of Alison Botha *** SEVERE TRIGGER WARNING ***

This is of course in brief, not in detail. In December of 1994 Alison Botha was kidnapped, assorted in a Sexual manner. She was stabbed 50 plus times and her guts were hanging out. Her throat was cut 16 times and almost decapitated. But she managed to crawl on her hands and knees to the road so she would be found. BTW she wrote the names of her attackers and "I Love Mom" in the dirt as she thought she was going to die. That was before she crawled to the road. She LIVED - She is the most bad-ass person ever to be able to survive this (Most of us where just lay there and die, there is no way I could possible do what she did)! She ended up standing and walking to the road at one point. She is literally holding her guts in and holding her head on. She got to the middle of the road before she laid down so she could be seen. The World is a Scary Place Right Now

It seems a lot less easy to be happy these days. The economy is horrible for the average person who can't invest a pile of money to get a decent return. Food prices have sky-rocketed in the last 2 years. Now with this mess between Canada and the USA, we face even harder times on both sides of the border. Jobs will be lost in this stupid trade war. People are already living in tents and vans when they actually are employed because of the cost of housing being out of reach for many. Food banks are maxed out across the country, and can't keep up with demand all the time. People are going hungry to pay the rent and keep the lights on. The cost of a bloody phone keeps going way the hell up as well. Last time I had a contract for 2 years it was a bit less than $80, now I'm paying $101 for less data (much less). I've seen people walk away from medications at the drug store after seeing how much it's going to be. Personally it was going to be $68 for a medication prescribed...
