Nudism - It's Not About Sex

A true nudist separates sex from nudity. The act of social nudity for them has nothing to do with sex. Yet there are a lot of people falsely using the title Nudist or Naturist in their online profiles, then end up posting a photo of them with a boner, or a video clip of them jerking off. This is NOT how you represent the cause.

Most of us are sexual beings and sometimes like to express our sexuality. Hell, I just did it today in another blog post. But I am not once going to be posting on my Bluesky a sexually explicit image or video or even a pose that makes you think of sex (unless you have issues, and think all nudity is sexual when it's not).

The freedom and comfort of not having clothing on is something I can't express that well. I can tell you it makes me feel a lot more like myself, and I can tell you it takes a lot of the stress of life away to be nude in my home. Yet the rationality of it is something I can't express. I am sure there are people out there who can do just that however, as some people in the lifestyle are extremely good with language.

This blog post was sparked by a person I follow on Bluesky who is one of the best representatives of the nudist/naturist cause. She is also very active in the community and always has something good to say or a great topic of discussion to get us talking. She posted about people calling themselves "sex positive nudists." - well, there is a strong need to separate nudism from sex. Way too many people see those who like to be natural in how they live (nude) as being some kind of kinky person. It's just not true. It's as halesome as anything you can think of. It's a great way for family, friends, and like minded people to just be together - or like me, alone in my home.

The World is a Scary Place Right Now

It seems a lot less easy to be happy these days. The economy is horrible for the average person who can't invest a pile of money to get a decent return. Food prices have sky-rocketed in the last 2 years. Now with this mess between Canada and the USA, we face even harder times on both sides of the border. Jobs will be lost in this stupid trade war. People are already living in tents and vans when they actually are employed because of the cost of housing being out of reach for many. Food banks are maxed out across the country, and can't keep up with demand all the time. People are going hungry to pay the rent and keep the lights on. The cost of a bloody phone keeps going way the hell up as well. Last time I had a contract for 2 years it was a bit less than $80, now I'm paying $101 for less data (much less).
