April Blog Challenge Day 5 (Places You Want to Visit)

Image
List five places you want to visit. 1 Yellowknife , Northwest Territories. It's on the bank of great slave lake. I've fished in that giant lake once, but never been to Yellowknife. You had to fly in at the time. It's very far north. The Dene First Nations are a big part of the city and the industry and tourism in the aria. The stunning beauty of this part of the world is something I only got 3 days to experience in a fishing camp. My entire life I've wanted to travel there and see the city. 2 Cardiff , Wales. It's their capital city and a lot of historic buildings can be seen. It's also where the mythical Torchwood was located and I'd like to visit the location they used as well. There are stunning countryside to see outside the city as well. It is home to some world class dining and amazing pubs to visit. The rich history alone is a draw for me. 3 London , England. The capital city of the UK, home to Buckingham Palace, The Tower of London, and many other hi...

April Blog Challenge Day 4

Write about someone who inspires you. Not going to name any names, but people who know me might think it's several people, as I tend to know a lot of people who inspire me. This is going to be a bit of a cheat - it's going to be the conglomeration of several people instead of just picking one of them to write about. Not to the letter of the prompt, to to the spirit of it. We will call the person, "Tim." Time worked very hard for a long time in order to help others in need. He never left a loved one or friend go without the help they needed unless he literally could not help for some reason. Time also shared his home with relatives would could not afford to live on their own, even to the point the place became crowded. Time gave his time to food pantries and his church to help with things he was able to do for the community. Unfortunately, Tim could not help everyone that asked for his help, because things have gotten far out of hand in our economy and too many people ...

Deep Dream Generator and it's Fake Signatures on Images

Image
This is my issue with Deep Dream Generator - it puts fake signatures on images at random. You can tell it no text and no signature all you want, but it will do it anyway. Being I'm using these mostly for puzzles, it's not a bother, but I'd rather it not be there. I've stopped filling in the negative prompts because it won't bother do follow instructions. I've only seen a couple other AI do this, and they are advertising themselves that way - this on the other hand is totally pointless. If I had a paid account I'd be completely pissed it used my points and gave me a fake signature. I made 3 of these flower ones and all of them have a different signature for no valid reason. It happens way more often if you want it to make a painting instead of something more realistic looking. I've had it put up to 3 signatures on the same image as well. Most of the time it's not a real name or anything that makes sense.

What are your top 5 pet peeves? 1. That humanity has always allowed it's self to be manipulated, controlled, abused and enslaved by the people we allowed to collect most of the wealth. 10% of people own 90% of everything. Now they are flexing their power and people are just taking it up the A** from them and a tone of people look up to them like they are Gods and did something special - they where given wealth for the most part and then crushed people to collect disgusting amounts of wealth while helping not one person with it. 2. Hate and those that exploit it for power, or just to satisfy an empty spot in their dark hearts - even though it never fulfills them. Millions have died because of the manipulation of peoples anger and turning it to hate. Modern times is no better, we still do it and most of the time the world looks the other way. 900,000 people murdered in case in my lifetime, and no one sent an army to stop it, because they had nothing we wanted. 3. Now stuff less heavy...

Two Memories Triggered By Old Photos

Image
Aug 5, 2008 me at 500 lbs. yesterday I was about 349 lbs. (Apr 02, 2025). It's literally amazing that my belly is not hanging down to my knees - it's not even covering my man bits fully. Most people who lose this kind of weight have a bin sagging loaf down to their knees. This photo was just before we found my friend dead in his apartment. I was on the 1st floor and he was on the 3rd. We did not see him for 5 days and went looking because there was a hell of a smell as soon as you opened the fire door. He had been dead for days. They said it was his heart. He was 42 at the time and I was 40. I had know him most of my life and we where close. When I found this photo, I remembered him. I also miss that hat kind of a lot. It was stolen. Jul 3, 2008 this is the Moose Jaw Co-op cafeteria. It's long gone now - instead they rend the space out to a gym. The hardware that was down there as well moved to the Agro center and it was expanded. I took Mom here for coffee every Wednesday ...

Blog A Day In April - Day 2

Write something that someone told you about yourself that you never forgot. It took me some time for it to sink in and take it to heart, but Dad told me, "just be yourself. Never pretend to be something you are not." I was in my late 20's when I too this to heart and lived by those words. It was the best advice I was ever given. If I would have just done this before I made the massive mistake of joining a Fundamentalist Christian church, My life would have been a lot better at the time.

Technology Is Still Not That Great

Image
So the local store opens at 10:30 am, it was 10:33 am and the bloody app thinks they are closed. I do NOT want to wait an extra 30 minutes to get my treat that I'd been looking forward to for a LONG TIME. Is it too much to ask that their server know what the hell the time is? Seriously? It started to actually work right at 10:36 am. Ya know, computers are supposed to be all kinds of accurate, or so they tell us - but the hell if they are! The worst thing is, the more we "advance" tech wise, the more humanity relies on this crap to literally exist. Bloody people to the south of Canada have it in their heads to let AI run the nukes FFS. What a great idea when an AI image maker tosses in an extra arm here there and - not like they screw up at all. How many end of humanity movies start with them give the defense system over to an AI BTW? This is a warning that should be looked at.

60 So Called Mind F**k Movies Rated

Image
I found this list on Pinterest and have no idea where it originated from. It was titled, “Mind Fuck Movies.” I have to say, I don’t think many of these fit that title at all. But I seem to have seen them all, so I did the rating thing as I’ve done with other lists. First the IMDB rating, then mine after the year it was released. Note IMDB rating may very, depending on how long from the date of this post you see the list. l. Fight Club (1999) 8.8 - 8 2. Memento (2000) 8.4 - 7 5. Inception (2010) 8.8 - 8  4. Interstellar (2014) 8.7 - 7 5. Shutter Island (2010) 8.2 - 7 6. Gone Girl (2014) 8.1 - 7 7. The Prestige (2006) 8.5 - 9 8. Edge Of Tomorrow (2014) 7.9 - 7 9. 11 Anxiety Journal Prompts

Image
1. What is the biggest worry on your mind right now? Write it out in detail. As a disabled person who is declining in health as time goes on, my deepest fear is that I will become to disabled to stay on my own. I’ve seen what it’s like in a care home, and even in a nice one, it’s my idea of hell of earth. To not have the ability to do things at the times I want and eat the food I want. To have to be taken care of and not be able to fend for myself anymore. The total loss of freedom and the idea of not even being able to go for a poop on my own, is horrifying to an extreme. I’d seriously rather die than go into a care home. It’s not life, its only existence, and that is not of value to me. 2. Describe a recent situation that made you feel extremely anxious. This is a thing that almost never happens to me. I don’t tend to have triggers, instead, I tend to just have a panic attack from hell at random, and like today, they happen many times a day. But there have been times when I got a pan...

Nudism - It's Not About Sex

Image
A true nudist separates sex from nudity. The act of social nudity for them has nothing to do with sex. Yet there are a lot of people falsely using the title Nudist or Naturist in their online profiles, then end up posting a photo of them with a boner, or a video clip of them jerking off. This is NOT how you represent the cause. Most of us are sexual beings and sometimes like to express our sexuality. Hell, I just did it today in another blog post. But I am not once going to be posting on my Bluesky a sexually explicit image or video or even a pose that makes you think of sex (unless you have issues, and think all nudity is sexual when it's not). The freedom and comfort of not having clothing on is something I can't express that well. I can tell you it makes me feel a lot more like myself, and I can tell you it takes a lot of the stress of life away to be nude in my home. Yet the rationality of it is something I can't express. I am sure there are people out there who can do ...

A Blog in 4 Parts

Image
Coffee outing the other day  was not only fabulous, but I changed it up a bit. I had cream in my coffee. I've not done this in years. But I find the coffee where we go, to not be all that great. Normally I just suck it up and drink it, not this time. I doubt I'll be doing it again, as it kind of made my tummy not feel good later on. Sometimes if I eat ice cream, it's the same result. But we all had good conversation. Normally I am kind of quiet and so is my one friend. The other two do most of the talking most times. This time I actually piped up and got into the conversation. When I'm not feeling like talking, I just want to be in the company of my friends. It's the only time I really do people. Most of the time at home, I don't go outside my apartment, other than to get mail when I know there is little chance anyone will be out in the lobby.   My good friend was kind enough to buy me this off of my wish list. At the time it was hot out and I no longer have the...

The Story of Alison Botha *** SEVERE TRIGGER WARNING ***

This is of course in brief, not in detail. In December of 1994 Alison Botha was kidnapped, assorted in a Sexual manner. She was stabbed 50 plus times and her guts were hanging out. Her throat was cut 16 times and almost decapitated. But she managed to crawl on her hands and knees to the road so she would be found. BTW she wrote the names of her attackers and "I Love Mom" in the dirt as she thought she was going to die. That was before she crawled to the road. She LIVED - She is the most bad-ass person ever to be able to survive this (Most of us where just lay there and die, there is no way I could possible do what she did)! She ended up standing and walking to the road at one point. She is literally holding her guts in and holding her head on. She got to the middle of the road before she laid down so she could be seen. The first person to drive up on her, sat there for 15 minutes looking at her, then DROVE AROUND HER and left her there FFS. Tell me humanity is not a pile of g...

The Man Who Knew Infinity (2016) - A Review

Image
The Man Who Knew Infinity (2016) Based in the 1910s Srinivasan Ramanujan taught himself not only math, but math on a level only a handful of people are even close to being able to understand. Because of his endless confidence and talent, he gained notice by eminent mathematics professor,  G.H. Hardy, who invites him to work on his calculations at Trinity College in Cambridge. He has to leave his wife behind and in the UK he encounters resistance against both his cultural background and his mathematical theories of a very intuitive nature. There is further turbulence from the strict academic regiment practiced by the college, and depressional nature of British culture heading into World War I. His health begins to fail and his family wanting to isolate him from his wife, he joins Hardy in a great struggle that would come to define him as one of the greatest Minds and Scholars to come out of India. Along the way he overcomes barriers to become a great success in the eyes of history. ...
