A Barber Shop, A Bathroom, And A Cop
Bob's Barber Shop by the City Hall and Police Station was owned by Keith McLeod and Bob Spriggs. From 1957 to 1969 Wesley Roy McLeod was cutting hair there. I missed it when it was gone. It was demolished to make way for the new City Police Station (Not Police Service). It was well worth the price of parking to go here. A lot of the police went for a hair cut in this location at the time. I don't ever remember waiting long, maybe I just got lucky that way. I would always go down Main Street a bit and have a coffee and a snack at a then Chinese restaurant that was located on Main Street not far north from the City Hall. For the life of me I don't remember it's name. I do however remember the cops would enter in the back and walk through the kitchen to go for coffee or some food...
