Tetley Chocolate Mint and Chai Tea Reviews
The mint is not too strong, but it's just enough to have a nice taste to it. The chocolate is dark and rich tasting. The overall experience is very pleasant. There is an artificial sweetness to it, that is a little too much, but not to the point it puts me off. It's a black tea BTW and I prefer black tea in general to white or green. It has a string, so it's easy to handle and keeps fresh longer in individual packets. There are only 20 in the box, so price per unit is a bit higher than some other teas, but I think it's worth a slight bit more to get this. It's not the best I've ever had, but it was better than average and I could drink this every day. It would be nice with some cookies or even some cheese and grapes. To be exact, I think sweetbread cookies would be the best with this. I'd give it a 7/10 for price and taste, it's good most times of the day, but I think for breakfast, I think it would be a bit much, unless you had a rich breakfast.
This was a 48 pack of round bags. This is more typical of the older style, and not the modern style of doing bagged tea. It's a bit of a bother, because you need a tea spoon to fish it out. Being that I don't punt in sugar or cream, I don't tend to need a spoon for any other purpose, other than removing the bag. I've been using the same spoon and the same plate for years for the tea bags, as it tends to stain the hell out of things. The Chai taste is light and has an artificial sweetness to it. I've not had any other type of this brand in many years, so I don't know if it's a common thing with the brand to sweeten it like this. I think I'd enjoy it a bit more if the sweetness was not there. I like this better than the last Chai I had, because the last one was way strong, and it was just too much. Again this is a black tea and I like black tea best in general. I'd give it a 7/10 for price and taste. It's a good evening tea I think.
