LOL That Is Not Going To Happen

Image
I just checked my spam folder and there was a message from Instagram. I have it set to allow people to email me, but only people I follow can comment. There is a darn good reason for that - I get over 30,000 views a day on Instagram in total. I just don't have time to sort through hundreds of comments to block the people being a dick, then delete the comment. No one has a life that devoid of anything to do that I have ever know. This person only said, "set your comments to public, or follow me." Well as I said above, I have the comments very limited for a valid reason. The people who have been following me for a very long time are really the only ones I'm ever going to be interested in hearing from. So no, I'm not setting them to public or following you. I checked you out and I have no interest in your content at all, so that's not going to happen ever. The next why I'm not going to do it is, this person is literally demanding this of me. For that reason a...

Minnie Winnie

Image
Was out for coffee and had to take a picture of this motor home. "Minnie Winnie" LOL. It reminded me of a certain person who 100% guaranteed will be reading this. I find it amazing that a good number of people with a small unit tend to act up a lot. Not much else to say here, just got a LOL out of this.

I Miss My Family

Image
Dad was in the military as a gunner, then he became a police officer in North Battlford, then in Regina, then finally here in Moose Jaw. He spent a total of 32 years as a police officer. He died in 1992, as of this post, 32 years ago. He taught me many things that I carried with me to this day. Who I am is mostly because of my Dad. My mom was very close to me. She was like a best friend in the day. I will always miss her. She has been gone 12 years now. In her day, when she met Dad, she was an operator and switchboard operator. Before that, she was a teacher. When I was adopted by my parents, she was a lab tech in the hospital, testing blood. Later she became an EKG tech in the same hospital. My brother was not the greatest person I've ever known. His only job ever was being in the army. He was always selfish and an alcoholic (I am as well), later he became hooked on hard drugs. It's how he died, he was locked up in a mental hospital for months then when he got out he over dose...

A Good Day For a Change (AKA Coffee Outing)

Image
The usual Thursday event yesterday, we went out on the north service road for coffee. It's a truck stop, but it's a big sized restaurant. I don't go out there any other day or time, so I don't have any idea if it has a time when there are a lot of people in it. But when we go, there is almost no one else in there. I have to say $3.85 for a Pop (Pepsi) is nuts, but coffee is the same price, and their coffee makes me ill - everyone else is fine with it, just not me. However the pop only gets one refill, not unlimited like the coffee does. I'll talk about the strange bill below. In any event, there was a new face at coffee when I got there. I'd met the fellow before, and he is nice to talk to. The one guy who has been going for years has not been there the last 2 times, and I'm totally OK with this. He was super aggressive, and very rude the last time he was there. We let him know this is NOT acceptable behavior at all. I think he needs a medication review if ...

Two Quick Thoughts

Image
To me coffee is a great pleasure and I choose to spend the vast majority of my spending money on it. I really don't tend to have more than $20 extra a month to spend on things other than needs, but I mostly spend that money on nice coffee to drink. The manner in which I make the coffee uses kind of a lot of it, to make just one mug of coffee, but it is extremely pleasant to drink that mug of coffee. I have been told it is not helping with my Fibromyalgia pain, but I am willing to have slightly more pain in my life to enjoy a great cup of coffee. To be honest having coffee out, is disappointing compared to what my Moka pot produces for me. I may even keep drinking it if I was told it would shorten my life noticeably - to be honest, with no coffee in my life, I don't think I'd want to be here as much as I do now. It's been about 13 years since I lost my friend. At the time he was my best friend, and we knew each other for 38 years. We did a lot together. Went camping, pla...

10 Tough Questions Answered

Image
1. Why do people value the longevity of life as much as, if not more, than the quality? I know I don’t. I don’t want to live to be 110 and spend 35 years in a care home being not much more than a plate of salad. I also don’t want to be totally aware and still end up in a care home with no freedom at all. I’d rather be dead. I spent 18 months visiting my mother in a care home every single day for several hours and I saw so many things that made me think death is not the worst thing to happen it’s not funny. Frankly, I think I’ll be ready in about 10 more years to leave this world, I’m 57 and failing already. 2. Are people like me born to suffer? This is a hard question to say the least. I would love to think we all have options to change our lives, yet, I did literally everything I could to have a better life when I was younger and it still turned out to be rather a living hell of a life in my 50’s. I honestly think there is some force in the universe that holds some people down, and ma...

I Rarely Get What I Want, But I Always Get What I Need (AKA I'm Blessed)

Image
Well I am going to be VERY broke next month (Sep 2024). So on a video on YouTube I asked if anyone would like to help me out and get 3 items from my Amazon Wishlist. Well so far, no takers on that. But I did not expect there would be. The people who are usually generous are broke as hell right now. So I though, I guess next month I don't have all my supplements and enough coffee for the month. Then along comes the power of the creator it seems - as it always does. I get an email and it's the organization I do surveys for. Well I needed 40 points to get to the threshold of 2500 and be able to get a $25 Amazon gift card. Well they will give me 60 points for a 5 minute survey. So I fill it out and I check my account and, yup, I got enough points. I submit the request to cash them in. Now, here is the good part. Normally it takes about a week to get back from them that you can go ahead and pick a gift card. Well, this time it was 2 hours (give or take a few minutes). So I went and ...

Thank You Friend, I Appreciate This A Lot

Image
A big thank you to a great friend for getting me things I need and/or desire to have from my Wishlist. This is going to be a great treat for many days. The toilet paper also saves me $15 next month (it will last me 3 or 4 months).

Review: Made in Britain (1983) *Spoilers*

Image
This follows Trevor who is sent to a juvenile assessment center. Although he has a swastika on his forehead, he's friendly with a minority. He's just a bad seed. He seems to intend on destroying his life and wants to take his impressionable roommate with him. He is said to be intelligent but seems unwilling or incapable of learning. He ends up on the fast tack to prison. The point here is he's been given a hell of a lot of chances to become a better person, and tossed them all away. Yet another failure in a lifelong cycle of crime and punishment. IMDB has it at 7.2/10 I'm going to give it a 7/10

Review: This is England (2006) *Spoilers*

Image
A bullied 12 year old boy falls in with a skinhead gang after his father is killed in the Falkland War. This leads him down a path of hatred and nationalism. It gives him a sense of belonging he was lacking and a sense of power for the first time. After a split in the group he chooses the wrong path. At a party the true colors of his new gang leader showes and tragedy ensued. The boy realizes his mistake and comes to terms with what the right path is. IMDB has it at 7.7/10 I'm going to give it a 9/10 My brother went down this path and ended up alone in the world and dead of a drug overdose. It's easy to listen to hate, but it never leads to peace in your heart.

10 Questions Answered (Q&A)

Image
1. When we die, aren’t we just "gone"? There is no way to know. For all of recorded time and farther back, people believed in a life after this one. Mostly, a reward to living the correct way. We don’t know if there is something past this life at all. We can’t prove there is or is not. It does seem logically to be a method of controlling how people act to have an afterlife of either reward or punishment that lasts forever. But every culture had some for of afterlife with very few not having that. There could be something to it. Logically speaking, we just stop existing - we are “gone”. But I chose to believe like a lot of others that there is another life after this, possibly endless cycles of being born into another life in another dimension. We can’t know. And if I am wrong and there is no afterlife, I won’t know, that’s the best part. 2. Do you know your life is yours to live? All to well, to the point I kind of destroyed the chance of aging well and having a long life. Bu...

It's amazing to me how popular this was. I've got many over 20KK views, but this is amazing to me. Over 200K people have seen it with over 403K views. It's a funny video, and I'm glad I made a lot of people smile or laugh.

Tag Videos, Ghost Pets, Thanks For the Help, and Politicians

Image
12 Tag videos (Q&A) uploaded to my tag channel yesterday. Nothing like answering 120 questions in one sitting. I do enjoy Q&A videos rather a lot. So when I found this batch I was happy. I'm convinced that loved ones, including pets that passed on come to visit us when we need them. This was one of those moments. I don't seem to be alone with this belief, several people I know have seen a dead pet out of the corner of their eye when they needed them to show up. I know Mom shows up now and then, I smell her perfume and it chills me out and puts me in a better mood - this happened a couple hours ago for me. It's rare for Dad to show up, but the 2 pets I was very close to show up a lot. Just had to comment on the email signature. I honestly see why it's being used, but dang, did not one person look at that and think about it for a bit? I'm also very glad for the help on this matter as it's been a REALLY long time of me trying to get anyone to get back to me...

5 Things From This Week in My Life

Image
Well, they cleared out the drains and it did not fix this nonsense. So now they are going to pull out some of my cupboards and tare the wall apart, then replace the stack as it's cracked. This is going to be a fucking mess, and I literally won't be able to eat the days they are going to be here FFS - as the kitchen will be full of their stuff and them. So I guess it's only eat in the evening kind of thing. That should be "Desktop", so where T.F. are you sending it? Then I went looking for this folder and it does not exist LOL. Also it's not the name of my drive, so I got not a clue. I refreshed and there it was on Desktop. Stop messing with me Windows 10. So got this email and was like WTAF? I literally don't store anything on there other than my phone data backup and that's going to be less than 1GB for sure - or so I thought. Somehow the backup photos and videos was on, and it had my 4K vlogs backed up to the Gdrive. I never turned this on, so the gu...
