It's Not Selfish to Have Pets Instead of Children

Q: Is it selfish if a couple decides to have pets instead of children?

A: I don't think so. I'm 55 and never had any children and seeing the state of the world, I'm rather glad I did not have any. As well, the world literally does NOT need to have humans keep breading out of control. We are using up resources very fast and it won't be extremely long until we have run out of a lot of things we need for our technology and so on. Not to mention what we have done to the planet, in my estimate, we have about 100 to 150 years until most of the planet it too hot to grow food. So no it's not selfish to have pets instead. The only people demanding you have children seem to be religious leaders who want to win some kind of race with other religions, as to how many followers you can get.
