SIMPLE TIMES (POEM)

In a time when the skies blazed with color like a dream. In an age when smoke rose from the sacred fires. Once when we believed in something bigger than ourselves. Then we where happy and life was simple. We have forgotten true pleasure and replaced it with guilt and longing for more things we don’t need. The gods of old have been exchanged for smart phones and social media. We will never again sing the glorious songs of our fathers and our words ring hollow in eternity.
